The city. Diverse. Individual. Lively. Terrifying. Brutal. Poetic.The city as an element. The city as a thought. Romain Osi went out to meet his daily actors; the city dwellers. He discussed their moods: simple, harsh and sometimes surprising. In the form of a correspondence with the picture, between the public and the photographer, the images offer an immediate sensation, without restriction. Everything that ran through their minds, except possibly the shape: which had to be contained within a single word. To reach his goal right away and avoid getting lost in the process.To the men in ties, the neon lights or to the smiling characters with the hurried silhouettes; he asked only one question to all these H24 urban actors: “what word does the city evoke in your mind ?” This work of photography sends us back to our shadows of (H)urban beings, navigating between the spaces of life in suspended moments, places of action, of waiting, or from elsewhere in which our aggregated feelings circulate.
